Baruth\/Mark, 17.07.2024 - Michael Kellner, Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection, today handed over the funding decision for the heating network planning in Baruth and M\u00fcckendorf. The grant of EUR 631,761.50 from the federal funding for efficient heating networks (BEW, Module 1) is specifically earmarked for the planning costs of the heating network in Baruth and M\u00fcckendorf. The grant is an important milestone for the \u201cEnergy for Baruth\u201d project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When handing over the funding decision, State Secretary Kellner emphasized the importance of the project for the region: \u201cThis project is a shining example of how regional cooperation and innovative solutions can advance the energy transition.\u201d The heating network is a key component of the planned energy project. In future, industrial waste heat from the Classen plant will be used to heat the neighboring districts of Baruth and M\u00fcckendorf. A heat pump will bring the waste heat to the required temperature. The electricity for this will be supplied by the Baruth-M\u00fcckendorf wind farm, which is also planned. The project is the result of close cooperation between the wind farm developer naturwind Potsdam and the Classen Group in Baruth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The planned heating network could reach a length of up to 34 kilometers. The aim is to achieve a high connection rate in order to ensure an economical and attractive heat supply for residents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
